Description

A sump pump is an automatic, submersible pump typically installed at the lowest point of a basement or pit (called a sump basin). Its main purpose is to prevent flooding and water accumulation by removing excess groundwater or rainwater that collects in the sump pit. It activates when the water reaches a certain level and pumps it safely away from the building to a drain or designated discharge area. Commonly used in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings prone to water intrusion.
